This is according to information from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on the evening of May 11, 2025. The project was inaugurated on February 19, 2024, under the patronage of Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Wang Wentian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Cambodia. Currently, the construction work of the eastern bridge has been completed: 1/ The bridge foundation section has been completed at approximately 55%, including 107 foundation pillars (out of 156), 6 piers (out of 20 piers), and 8 bottom beams (out of 12 beams). 2/ The structure under the bridge has been completed at 31.5%, including the construction of 6 bridge pillars (out of 12 pillars), the construction of 16 bridge piers (out of 52 bridge piers), and the construction of 10 beams connecting the bridge’s head pillars (out of 34 beams), as well as several other important works.
