According to the report of the General Department of Technology of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, National Road 71C is 37 percent completed. Work on the road is ongoing despite weather conditions. On June 20 Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Transport, led a delegation from the Ministry to inspect the technical specifications and monitor the progress of the construction project of National Road 71C. The delegation included technical officers, representatives of construction companies, representatives of inspection companies, local authorities and stakeholders. The Senior Minister highlighted the technical characteristics of the construction of this road, including: detailed study on the geographical situation, the improvement of the road to drain out water during the rainy season and during major floods, the construction of open bridges etc. Senior Minister Chanthol also instructed the construction team and the construction technical inspection company to pay attention to the construction based on the principle of quality first.
