The project to upgrade National Road No. 48 and the project to build National Road No. 10 will be sped up and completed by 2025. This is according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on December 17, 2023.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has accelerated the construction and quality improvement of National Road No. 48 (Sre Ambel-Koh Kong) to make this road complete quicker, with better quality, and long-lasting by working together by the end of April 2025.
The National Road No. 10 construction project is nearly 200 km long, connecting Samlot district, Battambang province, to the district of Veal Veng-O'Soam in Pursat, and up to Koh Kong. It has achieved about 73%, and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2025. This is according to BTV.
Please be informed that the project to upgrade the quality of National Road No. 48 connecting Sihanoukville to Koh Kong province has a length of 148 km. This road project includes 2 lanes with a length of 122.9 km and a width of 11 meters, and 4 lanes with a length of 25.1 km and a width of 18.5 meters to 21.5 meters.
Meanwhile, the construction project of National Road No. 10 has a total width of 9 meters and a double bituminous surface treatment (DBST) construction of 28 bridges, with the highest bridge being 75 meters high, 530 meters long, and 10 meters wide. In addition, this road is the main artery for travel and transportation for the fourth economic pole, including Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Pailin.
