According to a recent on-site inspection conducted on June 24, 2026, H.E. Sor Vichet, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and Project Director, accompanied by the Ministry’s technical team, the construction contractor (CRBC), the technical consulting firm (WACC), and relevant stakeholders, reviewed the progress of the project. It is worth noting that the bridge project has a construction period of 48 months and is scheduled for completion in 2028. Construction officially commenced on June 7, 2023. The Dey Edth–Thma Kor Bridge Project is located with its western approach in Dey Edth Commune, Kien Svay District, and its eastern approach in Thma Kor Commune, Lvea Em District, Kandal Province. The bridge is a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing economic connectivity and transportation between the southern and eastern areas of Phnom Penh. It will connect the Xi Jinping Boulevard (Third Ring Road) at National Road No. 1 on the western side and link to the Phnom Penh–Bavet Expressway on the eastern side. The project consists of a concrete bridge with a total combined length of 3,700 meters, including the bridge structure and approach roads. The main bridge itself is 1,600 meters long and 26 meters wide, accommodating four traffic lanes. The bridge approach roads have a total length of 2,100 meters and a width of 26 meters, surfaced with asphalt concrete (AC). The project also includes the construction of four traffic diversion roads.
