The project to restore and upgrade the quality of National Road 31 has reached 60% and is scheduled to be completed in June. This is according to the announcement from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.The project to restore and improve the quality of National Road No. 31 with a total length of 53.53 km (from Bek Kus, the intersection of National Road No. 3, to Kampong Trach district town, the connection point of National Road No. 33), will be completed by the end of June, which allows people to travel back and forth smoothly.
Other works, such as the installation of road facilities, the addition of drainage systems on both sides of the road, and some other works, will be completed by the end of 2024, ending one year before the contract.
Former Prime Minister Hun Sen on December 29, 2022, presided over the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction and restoration of quality on National Road No. 31, which is not only a road for transportation but also an economic corridor connecting Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
