The General Department of Taxation has reminded all vehicle owners who have not yet fulfilled their tax obligations to submit their tax returns by November 30, 2023, along with their ID cards, identification vehicles, and vehicle technical inspection certificates issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport at provincial or Khan Tax branches.
According to the announcement, the warning comes as the General Department of Taxation observes that some vehicle owners have already paid their taxes, while others have not.
Vehicles belonging to foreign embassies or consulates, international organizations, or governmental technical cooperation agencies must apply to the General Department of Taxation for a tax return (tax owed by the state).
For vehicles of the Ministry-institution or unit that is to receive the tax certificate on means of transportation (tax owed by the state or paid by the payment mandate), it must be accompanied by an inventory of vehicles and state property (increase and decrease table, Annual State Property Registration) registered with the General Department of State Property and Non-Fiscal Revenue of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Taxes warn that in the event of failure to pay the tax on time, the vehicle owner will be subject to additional tax for delays in accordance with the tax law in force. The General Department of Taxation will cooperate with the competent authorities, especially the traffic police and the gendarmerie, to inspect the implementation of this tax collection on the streets after closing the tax collection on November 30, 2023.
