The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) will cooperate with the competent authorities to inspect and take legal action against passenger transport companies and business who operate without a valid permit.
This is according to the announcement of Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, released on the night of 12 July. The announcement emphasized that there are businesses and companies who are operating without permits or hold expired permits.
In addition to the warning to take legal action against the businesses and companies, the Senior Minister also urged the implementation of the following measures:
Companies, branches, and agents engaged in passenger transport business who have not yet registered for passenger transport business must hurry to fill out the application form for registration and business permit in accordance with the law in force.
Companies, branches, and agents engaged in passenger transport business who have an expired passenger transport business license must hurry to complete the application for renewal of passenger transport business in accordance with the law is in force.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport strongly hopes that the owners of companies and passenger transport agencies will cooperate in implementing the above guidelines from today onwards.
