Official inauguration ceremony of the Chrey Thom/Long Binh Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Bridge

On April 24, 2017, H.E Senior Minister Sun Chanthol accompanied Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, for the inauguration ceremony of the Chrey Thom/Long Binh Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Bridge, across Chrey Thom river.
The ceremony was presided over by Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The bridge is 427.44 meters in length and a width of 13.50 meters, and built with pre-stressed reinforced concrete.
The bridges location is in Chrey Thom, Sampov Poun commune, Koh Thom district, Kandal province and connects National Road No. 21 in Kandal province to National Road 956 in An Yang province of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The bridge serves as a vital economic artery, making it easier for citizens of the two countries to facilitate trade and travel.
Minister Sun thanked the ministries and institutions involved, particularly the Ministry of Economy and Finance, local authorities and citizens for their facilitation and collaboration during the construction of this bridge.
