Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, has requested US delegates to invest in Cambodia’s project to improve the transportation sector.The Senior Minister’s request was made at the opening ceremony of the Vehicle Technical Training Centre on June 17. This vehicle technology training centre was established in collaboration with Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport and RMA Group.
At the inauguration ceremony of the centre, Senior Minister Chanthol said that the Royal Government of Cambodia, through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, has set out a master plan to improve and develop the transportation sector to make the cost of transportation in Cambodia cheaper.According to the Senior Minister the master plan for the development of the transportation sector consists of about 330 projects, with an investment budget of about $50 billion, and a development period of 10 years.To bring the transportation development plan to fruition, Senior Minister Sun Chanthol asked Ford, RMA to help attract more US investors to participate in the implementation of logistics investment development in Cambodia.
