Officials inaugurated a new health centre building in Kandal, as the Ministry of Health continue to boost the health sector of the country.
The inauguration ceremony was held for the new building of the Prek Chrey Commune Health Center building, located in Koh Thom District, Kandal. The ceremony was held on May 31 with Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, presiding.
The Senior Minister said that the Royal Government’s working group assigned to help Koh Thom district has taken care of the health sector for the people and made efforts to raise funds to help build and repair health centres in Prek Chrey Commune.
Senior Minister Chanthol added that peace has allowed the Royal Government to have the opportunity to attract investors to Cambodia, create jobs for the people, attract tourists to visit Cambodia and sell agricultural products made in Cambodia. Peace in the country has also allowed the country to secure achievements in the health sector.
The Senior Minister said that the life expectancy of the Cambodian people increased by 14 years compared to 20 years ago due to the progress of Cambodia in the field of physical infrastructure, especially roads, which are used to facilitate travel to hospitals, along with a clean living environment, adequate food and clean water.
