The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has forecast that the temperature could rise to about 39 degrees Celsius during the 2021 dry season while the rainy season will come in the first week of May. Cambodia’s weather will be influenced by the ENSO phenomena, added the forecast. Before rising, it continued, the temperature will drop to between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius in the highland and mountainous areas, between 16 and 19 degrees Celsius in the central lowland areas, and between 19 to 22 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas. The temperature will keep rising from March until its pick in April and early May, pointed out the same source, stressing that there will be some rain along with thunder, lightning and gusts during the last two months of dry season. Although the rainy season will come early in May, Cambodia will not have enough water for immediate use.
