Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group on the morning of June 8, inaugurated the construction site of a 72-meter-wide steel-fibre concrete bridge in Tuol Sleng village, Leuk Dek commune, Koh Thom district, Kandal province to facilitate people’s travel more easily.
The ceremony was also attended by Chhe Vandy, Governor of Koh Thom District, the Deputy Chairman of the Government Working Group on Koh Thom District and about 600 people.
Speaking on that occasion, Senior Minister Chathol said that after work is complete, this bridge will allow for easier traffic flow for people and students who will no longer need to take ferries to get to school.
The senior minister said that the district of Koh Thom, under the leadership of the Royal Government, was fortunate to have achieved concrete roads, bridges, illumination, lamps, and many other accomplishments, particularly the Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital, which was almost all finished. In addition, the hospital is expected to open soon after receiving its equipment from abroad.
At the same time, Chantol also informed the people about the many achievements that have been achieved and are continuing under the leadership of the Royal Government. He also told residents in Leuk Dek commune to raise funds to help build another concrete bridge across the Bassac River from east to west in Sampov Poun.
