The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) engaged in discussions on the second phase of the project to improve the logistics system in Cambodia.
The MPWT and JICA met on April 18 through video. The participants discussed the L ogistics Project Improvement Project in Cambodia Phase 2.
The discussion focused in the improvement at the Bavet border gate and arranging for the opening of the Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ean border gate and border transport. The participants also spoke of the challenges to be discussed with the Project Management Committee (PMU) on the progress of policy development, logistics and improving cross-border transport.
While addressing the meeting, the Secretary of State of the MPWT outlined the efforts and progress of the Executive Committee. The Project Management Committee has achieved positive results in formulating policies related to transportation and logistics, improving the Bavet border gate and opening the opening of the Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ean border gate and border transport.
