The Ministry of Health has confirmed 4 new cases of COVID-19, related to the weekend’s “Community 28 November event”.
According to the Ministry’s press release, the cases are as following:
A Cambodian man (no age specified) residing in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh. The patient is currently being treated at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital. This patient is believed to be the local village chief and father of the driver of the initial “index patient”
A 64-year-old Cambodian woman, residing in Sangkat Toul Tum Poung 1, Khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh, the mother of a 36-year-old female patient. She is the wife of the Deputy Director of the Prisons Department of the Ministry of Interior. The patient is currently being treated at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
A 25-year-old Cambodian woman residing in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh. The patient is currently being treated at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
A 7-month-old baby boy (Cambodian) residing in Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh. The patient is currently being treated at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
A total of 2,621 people (of which 2,131 were in Phnom Penh) have been tested in relation to “Community 28 November event” on November 30, 2020. This brings the total number of people tested on November 29-30, 2020 to 4,869, of which the test results show a total of 17 new COVID-19 cases related to the “November 28 Community Event”.
The remaining 4,852 had negative COVID-19 virus results.
