The Phnom Penh Capital Administration launched the repair of Kampuchea Krom Road following reports of damage done to the road.
The stretch of road being repaired extends from 5 Makara Flyover to the Central Market. The project was implemented to facilitate travel and promote the beauty of the capital.
Sam Piseth, Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Phnom Penh, told local news this morning, that in compliance to the order of Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, the Department of Public Works and Transport of Phnom Penh has been gradually repairing pot holes and paving on the road.Aside from the stretch of Kampuchea Krom Road from the flyover to the central market, the department also repaired roads in Toul Kork, 7 Makara and Daun Penh districts.Piseth did not confirm when the construction will be completed, saying that the rainy season will cause some challenges to the schedule of the construction.
