The General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has the duty to :

• carry out the permanent inspection on all the departments, divisions and state enterprises under the Ministry.

• report to the Minister the activities of the inspected offices and agencies under the Ministry and recommend the means to ameliorate the functioning of those offices and agencies.

• execute the mission that the Minister entrusts to it.

The General Inspectorate is lead by an Inspector General who is assisted by a Deputy - Inspector General.
